Wicksteed Carp Lake

INTIMATE  |  MYSTERIOUS  |  CAPTIVATING

A New Challenge

Tucked away in the furthest-most corner of beautiful Northamptonshire parkland, this mature and moody haven awaits to capture your soul.  Four acres of shallow and unforgiving water hides a low stock of stunning Emperor strain Carp, growing strong on the plentiful banquet of creepy-crawlies that the aquatic weed graciously provides .  A shadow here... a swirl there, and suddenly a dormant bite alarm screams into life!  Time rewards the persistent picador with a well-earned fish held proudly for the cameras, its captors smile as radiant as the flanks of the fooled fish.  This one, is a fish to remember.  Welcome, to your new obsession.

"I spent my first few sessions wondering what i was doing wrong! But, once I overcame the weed and made good my presentation the fish came often.  Last Summer I banked nearly every fish Including the Lake record."

Jake Algar
Team Captain

"I only took up Carp fishing 2 years ago so Wicksteed Carp Lake presented a real challenge for me.  Early in my first season though,  I was lucky enough to be the first to catch the big common and name her 'Emma'."

Matty Harrison
Club Officer

"I've been Head Bailiff at this water now for over 6 years and can honestly say the place has gone from strength to strength.  The committee have done a great job of transforming it into an excellent fishery."

Paul Healy
Head Bailiff
